Shoplifting – Petit or Grand Larceny

If you are charged with Shoplifting, here are some things you should know.  If you are accused of shoplifting merchandise with a value of up to one thousand ($1,000.00) dollars, you will be charged with Petit Larceny. If the value of the property you are charged with taking is more than one thousand ($1,000.00) dollars, you will be charged with Grand Larceny.
